Orthodontics

We offer two different brands of invisible braces, Invisalign and Reveal. Both offer high quality clear aligners to shift teeth into a healthy alignment and to provide good esthetic outcomes.

Shifting teeth with Invisalign often requires engagers (composite, tooth-colored buttons) to be bonded to some of the teeth for the invisible aligners to engage in order to shift the teeth. These engagers are removed after orthodontic treatment is completed. Most often, these are not utilized with Reveal treatment. It also may be necessary to perform interproximal reduction, which is the removal of a small amount of enamel between the teeth to create enough space to shift the teeth into proper alignment.

Aligners are changed every 2 weeks for the required time to achieve the final outcome. Aligners are to be worn 22 hours a day to move the teeth properly and are only to be taken out to eat and brush the teeth. It should be noted that some cases require revisions if the teeth do not track (move) properly, which can increase the amount of time of orthodontic treatment, and some cases may be deemed too complex and will require referral to an Orthodontist.
